Volunteer Training Dates
Volunteer training will be offered before the shelter season begins. New volunteers must attend a training session before volunteering.

As the shelter season begins, there are several opportunities for part-time staff positions. The available positions are listed below. Anyone interested in a position should email a cover letter that includes a brief statement of faith and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org
GUEST is seeking three individuals to serve as Day Shelter Coordinators. Some of the duties include scheduling volunteers, complete intake of clients, assist clients with locating resources, and supervise volunteers and clients at Day Shelter. The Day Shelter is open 7 days a week, from 7 am until 6:30 pm. This is a part-time position with up to 25 hours per week. A full job description is available upon request.
GUEST is seeking a year-round, part-time Executive Director to serve as an advocate for the homeless in our community. The Executive Director is responsible for community outreach, communication, marketing, and fundraising. Some of the duties include networking in the local community, managing the Shelter operations, and working closely with the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, management, communication and computer skills. This is a part-time position of 10-25 hours per week with the possibility of growth for the right candidate. A full job description is available upon request
Board of Directors Needed
GUEST continues to grow each season and seeks new Board members to help establish goals and objectives for the organization. Board members help provide leadership, direction and guidance to enhance the ministries and programs offered through GUEST. The Board of Directors meet weekly during the operating season of December to March, and the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month during the off-season of April - November. Board meetings are held on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. at a designated location in Gloucester County. We are currently in need of a Vice-Chairperson & Treasurer. Be on the lookout for Signup Genius links coming soon for volunteers to signup for the various shift needs at the Day Shelter and Night Shelters. We are still ironing out the schedule, so as soon as all the weeks are confirmed, we will be sending out a list of the churches hosting this year.
